The Actor was a man who had a skill in disguise and impersonation. The Actor went to work for a communist named the Red Barbarian. The Red Barbarian struggled to get the plans for a disintegrator weapon being builded by Stark Industries.
The Red Barbarian sent the Actor to replace Tony Stark himself, to gain the plans. The Actor disguises himself as Tony Stark and easily entered the Stark Industries. He failed to get the plans, but he found out who Stark really is, Iron Man. The Actor never told anyone about his secret. They sent the real Tony Stark to a fake meeting and he left some agents to kill him. Iron Man defeated all the agents and forced them to reveal their plans. Iron Man used a rocket to reach the Union of Soviet Republics minutes before the Actor.
Iron Man reached his car and took back his plans. Iron Man then travelled to the Red Barbarian's base, pretending to be the Actor. Iron Man told the Barbarian that the briefcase was booby-trapped and couldn't be opened for another four hours, and then left, returning to the USA. The real Actor returned to the Red Barbarian and hopes that telling him who Iron Man really is, he will be forgiven for losing the plans. However, the Red Barbarian saw that the Actor didn't have the plans, and when the Actor said he nothing about the time locked brief case, the Red Barbarian refused to believe the Actor and had him shot as a traitor.
Impersonation: The Actor was a master of impersonation. He could adjust his own facial structure so that with a little make up and perhaps a wig, he could impersonate almost anyone. He could perform rapid changes, duplicating the appearance of others within a few minutes after seeing only a photograph of that person.
Espionage: The Actor was also skilled in espionage, and had some degree of training in armed and unarmed combat. He sometimes worked with other communist spies or soldiers.
