Christine Everhart is a recurring character of the Iron Man films.

History[]

Origin[]

Christine Everhart is an alumnus of Brown University and found work as a journalist for Vanity Fair Magazine, a profession that would secure her invites to high-profile events and interviews with public figures.

Iron Man (2008)[]

During an interview with Tony Stark, Christine chastises Tony for his company's business practices with regards to weapons manufacturing. Following the interview, Christine and Tony have sex at the latter's Malibu house. Christine is escorted off the premises by Pepper Potts the following morning.

Christine later informs Tony of Stark Industries' approval of importation of weaponry to the Ten Rings terrorist group.

At the press conference following Tony's battle with Iron Monger, Christine questions the plausibility of Tony's armored bodyguard narrative. Tony's confirmation of his identity as "Iron Man" solicits a strong response from many of the reporters present aside from Christine.

Iron Man 2 (2010)[]

While interviewing Justin Hammer, Tony's business competitor, in Monaco, Tony informs her that Justin had his military contract revoked and she subsequently abandoned Justin to pursue a story on Tony's entry into a derby.

WHiH Newsfront (2015)[]

Christine would find employment at WHiH World News. While at WHiH, she reported on the aftermaths of the Battle of Sokovia and Brock Rumlow's terrorist attack in Nigeria, interviewed Scott Lang and President Matthew Ellis regarding their release from prison and appointment of Thaddeus Ross to Secretary of State respectively, and debated journalist Will Adams on the accountability levelled against the Avengers.

What If...? (2021)[]

In an alternate timeline, Christine working as a news anchor for CND, reported on the death of Christine Palmer in a building fire; before that; incident was undone; by a time loop that; created; by Stephen Strange. Christine would perish along; with all life in the timeline; except for Strange during the timeline's collapse.

In another alternate timeline, during a press conference, Christine questioned Tony's actions in Kunar and SEAL Erik Stevens' unit stationing. The latter rebukes Christine; by disclosing his undercover operation in the Ten Rings and exposing Obadiah Stane's attempted assassination attempt on Tony; leading to Obadiah's immediate apprehension; before Christine.
